March
Fourth

Founded in 2003 for a Fat Tuesday party in Portland Oregon, MarchFourth has grown to become the most widely known and successful "Alternative Marching Bands" in the United States. Performing on average of 140 days a year at festivals, concert halls, clubs, bars and both corporate and private events, MarchFourth, with its 12 musicians and 4 dancers on stage, has obtained a strong fan base and a respected reputation among it's peers as a performance group who can captivate an audience both visually and musically.
Paul joined on to MarchFourth in 2011 and since then has arranged and written a wealth of material for the group, as well as stepped up to a leadership position both of the horn section as well as singing and helping to front the group on stage. Some strong examples of his writing, arranging and playing can be heard on the group's latest release 'Magic Number'.

Orgone

Formed in the late 1990s in Los Angeles, Orgone remains dedicated to creating heavy, raw, adrenaline-fueled funk and sweat-dripping soul. With a core rhythm section of close friends and self-taught musicians steeped in the DJ culture of L.A., Orgone has spent the last decade expanding their roster and evolving a sound that simultaneously recognizes its roots in old school respect and pulsates with the force of the new millennium. While becoming a staple on the festival circuit in the early 2000s, Orgone has gained a reputation among fellow artists for being one of the baddest go-to backing bands on the planet.
Paul joined on with Orgone in 2013 for touring as well as recording and continues to play and record with the group. Two 45 singles will be released in 2017 on Colemine Records featuring Paul's horn writing and arrangement as well as featuring his trumpet playing.

Earlier Music

Throughout Paul's university studies in Santa Cruz CA, Liverpool UK and Bellingham WA, he performed in the various classical and jazz ensembles within the music department, but additionally Paul gained valuable experience outside of the university walls throwing late night beach raves on the California coast, performing in the Brazilian samba group Nova Blancho at a monthly Carnival night at the largest nightclub in England, and joining in to various funk, reggae, hip hop and jazz ensembles.

After some extensive world traveling Paul joined into the Northwest funk juggernaut and collective LaPush led by the talented Joel Ricci. Many shows, recordings and festivals later, that led to him into forming his own funk trio Megatron who independently released an album which was licensed by P-Vine Records in Japan. Megatron had the honor to act as support for many national touring acts including Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Budos Band, and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.

Paul was also heavily involved in the formation of the groundbreaking Dream Science Circus. As Musical and Technical Director, he not only created original content for the show, but performed and live sequenced it on stage, in character, as part of the show. The company toured both nationally and internationally in both Canada and Mexico and led to the formation of the Bellingham Circus Guild and the Lookout Arts Center.
